Please Note:  There is a 20% restocking fee on collars returned for size errors. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can go to Wal-Mart or any variety store and find one in the craft section. Or take a string, measure your dog's neck and then measure the string.

Sizes are gauged by the dog's ACTUAL neck size, NOT collar size. Please note:  Measure the neck size by snuggly wrapping  a tape measure around the neck. Please DO NOT add extra room for comfort, we will do that.

Order the collar size that includes your dog’s neck size. For instance, if your dog has a 17” neck, order a size 16”-18”. If you are still unsure what size to order, include the neck size with your order and we will make the collar fit perfectly. To determine true neck size, follow the guidelines below:

too tight!
If the dog cannot breathe and is turning red like a cherry tomato, chances are you are measuring too high on the neck and too snugly. This can throw off the measurement in the “too small” direction.

too loose!
Do not think that you are doing your dog any favors by allowing for two fingers “breathing room”, or measuring just above the shoulder blades. This is simply a recipe for slipping the collar in a time of crisis. No good.

just right!
A measurement made in the middle of the neck, with the tape neither taught nor slack, will result in a true neck measurement. And don’t fret. The designers at Paco Collars are crafty enough to take that neck measurement and create a piece that allows plenty of room to get tighter or looser, depending on your preference!
