CLEO AT REST

Cleo's favorite place to rest is the end of our leather sofa where she has a good view of the family throughout most of the house. Cleo has very pretty black rimmed eyes that resemble the coal black makeup worn by Egyptian Queens such as Cleopatra, hence her name, "Cleo."

CLEO AFTER A NICE WORKOUT

Cleo takes a breather after playing. It is imperative that sight hound do not become overheated. Living in South Florida we have to make sure Cleo takes frequent brakes and drinks sufficient water to keep her safe from heat stroke!

SHARA AT REST

As you can see, Shara likes the other end of our leather sofa for her place to rest. Sometimes the two of them don't leave enough space for the humans to sit down as all Salukis really love to stretch out when they sleep.

DID SOMEONE SAY "SNACK?"

Alert to the slightest noise coming from our kitchen the Salukis always perk up when they hear someone in that room! Salukis are very smart and teaching their basic commands when you give treats is an easy way to start you Saluki out in the right direction to becoming a well-mannered and polite dog.

THE HUMAN TOUCH

Salukis love human attention. They are always up for a nice hug, a massage behind their ears or a nice belly run. Here Shara playfully attempts to get into Eric's lap where she can be snuggled and loved all over! Salukis make wonderful family pets.
